[RM] Chinese with Fred in the Penthouse.
Oct. 3rd, 2007 12:02 amAngel was overwhelmed and somehow in the same breath almost underwhelmed by the actual tackling of Wolfram and Hart Los Angeles. On one hand he had no clue how to use the phones, and there was a stacking of boxes of client files waiting for him in the conference room since they had opted to make their first effort be to weed through the current clients and find the good ones. Of course that was the overwhelming part, because not only did he have those things to deal with, but there was also a mountain of things to sign off on that Eve had dropped off in her less than positive way. Of course most of those things he had no clue what they were... so really that could wait.
The underwhelmed came when he realized how boring it was going to be doing this day in and day out from behind a desk... instead of out in the streets. He really wanted to just go down to alley way and find some thug and beat their head into the wall just for the simplicity of it all. Instead he had a head full of little forms that he knew he'd have to fill out just to get the medical coverage in case the thug sued them. It made his job... boring.
Thankfully he had friends around him to distract him from the boredom and the fact that he knew exactly what he had to agree to in order to save his son. Any distraction was a welcome one and at the moment it was Fred hovering by the window in Angel's penthouse room ordering Chinese for a end of the day winding down session. It had been a long day, and an even longer week and he knew that they needed this.
"Think they'll find the place?" Angel teased as he crossed the room to stand beside Fred by the window. "It's a pretty small place."
